The Hero

•July 2, 2007 • Leave a Comment

What makes a hero?

Is Superman a hero? Someone so strong, he can be shot in the eyes and not feel a thing. We cannot connect to that, someone so inhuman, or fearless.

What about Bruce Willis? Someone that fights for whats right, coming out heavil scarred and in pain. Yet, we cannot connect to him. How many of us can say we have been kidnapped ourselves and had our father come to rescue us.

Yet, what is so heroic about an average guy? Do we have to be able to relate to someone for them to be considered a hero?

The Suicide

•July 2, 2007 • Leave a Comment

What is suicide? The intentional meaning to take ones own life?

Is it still suicide and wrong when you choose to stand up from behind your shelter, to be shot by the shooter, rather than continue with the horror of trying to escape he and his taunts, and the possible pain of being shot but not dieing?

This is how my last dream ended, with me fading back to being awake while saying, “Kill me”, under my breath both in the dream and real life.

The Depressing Truth

•June 24, 2007 • Leave a Comment

There isn’t anything special.

We have no soul or mind. We simply have a brain with a complex system of electrical signal, that gives us what we think has thought or a superior nature. When we die, those electrical signals give away, and we cease to be able to think, to live, to exist. A mere nothingness exists after death, as was thought by the ancient Mesopotamians.

And about 4 others. :P

I am an Eagle Scout, I am 15, I like airsoft, programming, and meeting those with like-minded beliefs.

I believe that society should turn into a much more Liberal one, the government needs to much less important and controlling, and we want our rights to freedom.

I believe, that we will achieve that in my lifetime, more and more people are becoming Liberals. I for one hope, that after that, we can start to hope to achieve an Anarchist state. Now, Anarchism is not violence supporting, government-hating V-For-Vendetta’s. Anarchism is against violence, and believes we as humans can rule ourselves, and that government is perfect when custom made and governing a few, like a tribal system.

Looks at lines, you don’t see us cutting in line to get on the bus, it’s not a law to form a line, we naturally do it.

I am heterosexual, I like women. But does that mean I have to hate on gays, and can’t support something I’m not? Why should gays be discriminated against, it’s no different than racism. Besides, why does it bother you if their allowed? Just don’t get a gay marriage and shut the FUCK UP!

Which comes to Christian Fundamentalist Fanatics. Gays are who they are because of how their brain is wired/genes or because God made them like that. You don’t wake up and choose to be gay and discriminated against. It’s not their fault. And if God made them to be discriminated against, then in all seriousness, fuck him, I’m not going to support an evil dickhead like that.

And WTF is wrong with different beliefs? What happened to Tolerance? Because I’m not Christian I’m going to hell and am a bad person? What ever happened to Christianity being a loving religion?

To all those Christians out there that don’t convert people in a rudely manner, or try only once in a suitable manner, are loving, are open to learning about new ideas, but still sticking with theirs… Stay that way.

The Software

•May 28, 2007 • Leave a Comment

The problem with the whole illegal downloading of software really needs to be looked at differently than anything else.

I was watching a movie yesterday, and it was one of the few that had those ads. It was saying, “You wouldn’t steal a car would you? Then why would you steal a movie?” Well, thing is, that’s not how it works out. Stealing a movie, would be physically taking someone’s physical DVD disk. What you’re doing by downloading it, is copying it. There’s a difference between that. Stealing and Copying. Yes, there are copyright laws against it, but for public viewings. You can copy your DVD as a backup for your own personal self.

So why are we paying for movies? Just for the DVD? But they don’t cost $20.00! We’re paying for the work that’s been put into them. Yet, look at art. Anyone can go take a picture of an artwork, and keep it for themselves, instead of buying that painting or buying a nice resolution poster. That’s just like downloading software, except, downloading gives you a more perfect copy of the item, than a photo.

You can see it now too, open-source. People are dedicating their lives to open-source projects, who don’t charge a dime for their work.

Now, I’m not saying downloading pirated goods is good or bad. I’m merely saying that this is something unique, and we can’t describe it under this and that.

The Self

Quick post, gotta hit up my game.

I learned I act funny when I don’t know things. I see that other people do too, if you can’t be smart and ace this test, better be funny and be known by that.

School was great today, felt short, got home early, more time and different times is really neat. I feel so energetic too, and still want to hang out with others now, unlike hating everyone by the end of the day.

The LOL

I heard this today, and it literally made me LOL!

“In Soviet Russia, God creates You!”

The End

•May 2, 2007 • Leave a Comment

What am I scared of? Death.

That may sound cliche-ish, or unimaginative, but think about it. There are four basic ending’s to your life.

A) There is no afterlife, and you cease to exist, to think. That is a truly scary thought, at least for me. What would it be like to not be able to think? I imagine it, that for what feels like one second, would turn out to be a millennium for history on Earth. But… I wouldn’t feel like it was a second, because I couldn’t feel, think, or exist.

B) You go to Hell. Not exactly the Christian Hell, but basically a place of punishment. For all of eternity until comes the Judgment Day and you basically apologize for not believing. Ask, is that worse? Would you rather cease to exist, or be forever burned and in extreme pain? Although at least in Hell, you have your thought, or at least hope. I don’t know about you, but if I find myself in Hell, I think I’ll repent for my sins, especially since I KNOW there is a God.

C) You go to Heaven. That would probably kick ass.

D) Reincarnated. That actually wouldn’t be so bad, except you wouldn’t have your past memories, but I think that’s what makes it pretty swell. But it give you a chance to possibly actually play in a place similar to the Battle-Room in Enders Game, or possibly be President, or Moses, or a Dinosaur.

The Crunch

•May 2, 2007 • Leave a Comment

The crunch time is perfect for me.

Whenever I have an average amount of homework, such as taking notes on this, math homework, and possibly one or two other things, I’ll blow it off, or part of it off, until the next morning it’s due. What I just now realize for that part, is that it creates me a crunch, to get it done lickity split that morning, and for the rest I blow it off until late that evening/night.

What I realized today, was that I had a huge load of homework, and I got straight on it. And it was… fun. It was a different experience than getting angry at my PUG on WoW. It was a different experience than lazily browsing Digg, and some other random sites. It wasn’t exactly a Christmas or Party excitement fun, but a different kind. One that I think I like. It wasn’t quick busy work that you push off, but it wasn’t above your head.  It took time for me to work out my math, but once I had it down I felt alright. Something I havn’t felt in a while.

As for what happened today, I ate, and got on my homework. Over the course of 3 hours, I took 2 breaks, each 5 minutes. Although I took about 10 breaks, for under 1 minute, to check and complete a few things on a background running program.

Early Graduation Begins

For those ever interested, or looking for more information, in early graduation, keep reading.

Today I met with my counselor, I am a Freshmen currently, about early graduation. Soon, I’m going to again to lay out the courses I need to take to graduate.

What was covered? Where I am here in Texas, I can graduation either after my first semester of my Senior year, or the end of my Junior year. Likewise, for an instate college, you receive a $2000 or $1000 scholarship. You can also contact an outside college in hopes of receiving a scholarship for graduating early. Basically, early graduation requires completing all required classes before the end of your first semester of Senior year.
